USHAW is offering postgraduate courses in Theology and Ministry, delivered in Durham with ecumenical partners Cranmer Hall and the Wesley Study Centre.
The courses are validated by Durham University and are delivered on a full-time or part-time basis.
The MA programme offers accessible postgraduate training to a high academic standard, equipping clergy, religious sisters and brothers, and lay ministers to play a leading role in church mission and ministry as practitioners, educators and enablers of the whole people of God.
Students can choose to study modules as stand-alone or self-interest modules, or (if qualified) study all of the modules as part of the full MA Theology & Ministry, an award of Durham University.
The modules are delivered at Ushaw and at St John’s College, Durham, and include Theological and Practical Reflection, Chaplaincy, Catholic Church and Pluralism, and Images of Christ.
Two modules make a Postgraduate Certificate (comprising any two taught modules); four make a Postgraduate Diploma in Theology (comprising one core module and three elective modules). The full MA in Theology & Ministry comprises one core module, three elective modules and a 12,000 word Dissertation.
Entry to the MA in Theology & Ministry requires at least a 2:1 in a Theology-based course and successful progression from interview. |
